Volunteer Opportunities & Equitable Access

Interconnection. Generosity. Stewardship. Shared Purpose.

At Northeast Wildlife Trackers, we believe in the power of community and the importance of equitable access to tracking knowledge and experiences. Our programs and gatherings are shaped by a shared sense of responsibility, care, and the unique contributions of each participant.

We are an all-volunteer organization, and our work is sustained by people who generously offer their time, energy, skills, and resources. Whether you’re a long-time tracker or newly inspired to get involved, there’s a place for you here.

🌿 Ways to Contribute:

  • Volunteer with our Planning Team — help shape events, support logistics, or assist with outreach.

  • Offer your skills — writing, website support, design, photography, facilitation, or something else entirely.

  • Help during events — from set-up and registration to leading a walk or sharing your field notes.

  • Contribute resources — Donate money, lend equipment, or space for gatherings.

  • Support equitable access — if you’re able, consider donating or sponsoring participation for others.

We welcome a range of involvement—whether it’s joining our team, supporting a single project, or offering a skill you love. Your contributions, however large or small, help make our gatherings more inclusive, accessible, and deeply connected.

🤝 A Note on Reciprocity:

We encourage everyone to consider what they can offer in light of their own resources, skills, and capacities—without overextending themselves. We strive to create a culture of reciprocity rooted in care, not obligation.

If you’re unsure how you might plug in, or have an idea not listed here, we’d love to hear from you. Just use the form below to start the conversation.

Together, we’re building a vibrant, interdependent tracking community—one that honors every offering and every voice.
